1. General provisions
These terms and conditions of use (the “Terms”) govern the use of the website sailingaccelerator.com (the “Platform”). By using the Platform, you confirm that you have read and agree to comply with these Terms.
2. Platform status — an informational intermediary
Sailing Accelerator is an informational and intermediary platform, designed to connect captains organizing trips with travelers looking for available spots, as well as boat owners with those wishing to rent a boat. The Platform is not a trip organizer, boat rental company, or charter operator, and is not a party to any trip or rental transaction.
3. Agreements are made directly
All arrangements related to a specific trip or boat rental — including, but not limited to:
- confirming a booking,
- paying for a trip or rental,
- paying a damage/security deposit for the boat,
- the terms of a charter or rental agreement,
— are made and carried out directly between the traveler and the captain / boat owner / charter company, on site. The Platform does not take part in these transactions, does not accept or forward payments or deposits, and is not responsible for their execution, refund, or dispute resolution.
4. User obligations
- By posting a trip or boat listing, you agree to provide accurate and truthful information.
- Captains and boat owners are responsible for their boat’s seaworthiness, required documents, licenses, and insurance.
- Travelers are responsible for their decision to join a trip or rent a boat, including reviewing the captain’s/owner’s terms before making any payment.
5. Limitation of liability
The Platform is not responsible for the quality, safety, delays, cancellations, damage, injury, or financial loss arising from arrangements made through the Platform. Users interact and enter into agreements at their own risk.
6. Listings in Phase I
At this time (Platform Phase I), posting trip and boat listings is free for captains and owners. We will announce any future fees in advance.
7. Content moderation
We reserve the right to remove listings, reviews, or accounts that violate these Terms, applicable law, or good community-practice principles.
8. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms. Continued use of the Platform after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
